Natural stone is a simple, yet powerful way of adding luxury to any design or room, especially bathrooms. There is something so indulgent about starting your morning in a beautiful marble shower.
While natural stone is resilient and hardwearing, it is not invincible to what life throws at it. Get into these 7 habits and you will extend the quality and life of your beautiful kitchen benchtop.
Walking through Sydney’s suburbs, it is evident outdoor living is a major part of our culture. While many of us still spend most of our time indoors, integrating the outdoors into our day to day, remains of high importance. Architects and designers are constantly seeking out design solutions that will sustain the malleability between indoor living and outdoor lifestyle. Using the same stone in a different finish creates a fluid indoor – outdoor space, connecting our surroundings in an easy and effortless way. The STS STONE range of natural stone is available in a variety of finishes: Honed and Polished are ideal for interior spaces; Sandblasted, Brushed or Bush Hammered work well outdoors, with their high slip resistance.

Seaforth House, Architecture by MASQ Architecture
It’s time to give the outdoor some attention
Just before temperature drops and winter is officially here, Fall is the perfect time of the year for some easy outdoor living. Designers and architects often take advantage of Australia’s climate to create some amazing outdoors living. From outdoor kitchens to luxurious entertaining areas overlooking the water, the house becomes a part of its surrounding landscape
The unique shape of this twin house was defined by irregular site boundary and desire to relate to the urban streetscape around it, as well as engage with panoramic views of the Opera House perfectly framed by the Harbour Bridge. The contemporary and modern interiors celebrate materials and form with steel plate, painted recycled brick and natural stone.
Granite and limestone have both been used to design households for centuries. These stones both provide beauty for new homes and renovation. When it comes to choosing which stone best fits countertop designs, here’s an in depth comparison to help guide you on making a decision for your project:

The golden rules of stone care, ensuring the longevity of your stones, can be summarised as follows:
Travertine is a beautiful natural stone material from the limestone family. It is made of soft calcium carbonate and is usually found in the form of deposits near bubbling warm or hot springs. When quarried by man the open holes are filled at the surface with either epoxy or travertine dust to offer a smooth closed finished look .
Everyone who specifies flooring products has to ensure that flooring surfaces do not pose a safety risk. In our case, we talk about slippery resistance that shows how slippery the floor is. Natural stone have to be tested due to the fact that the product is natural and has the significant variation of hardness and surface finishes which give different slip results.

Our range of natural stone tiles has been carefully selected to meet current design trends as well as providing plenty of unique options. Our products are available in a large range of colours, finishes and sizes suitable for use in any room of the home, both indoors and outdoors.
The cobbles provide a vast array of options in colour, stone type and texture providing great design flexibility for residential and commercial garden designs. Cobblestones are ideal for driveways and high traffic areas, their textured finish gives traction on steep surfaces and their colour variation is incredibly forgiving in terms of marks and staining. Furthermore, their small size makes them great for dealing with curves in design. Almost all of our cobblestones come with a matching natural stone tile or paver allowing design continuity by using the same natural stone throughout the project, making them a great way to add texture to a space without compromising on the existing colour palette.
Natural stone is the perfect choice to add a luxurious element to your property. To ensure that your surfaces retain a beautiful and pristine appearance and last for years to come it is essential that you apply an effective sealant. This applies to whatever type of natural tile you choose.
